TRAVELLER
III TRAVELLER III was designed for Capt. Art Crimmins, a well known charter boat owner, whose requirements were the result of years of experience on craft of all sizes, and in all waters. Accommodations are provided for an owner's party of 6-7 in three cabins plus a paid hand forward. A large deep freeze and refrigerator are fitted along with sufficient tankage for long periods at sea. The galley is very large and will be appreciated by the seagoing chef. There are 2 heads, each with shower, a complete nav station, and generous storage throughout.
Construction is to the very highest standards with double planking bronze fastened to bent or laminated frames, and with teak decks and trim. The hull has bronze strapping, bronze c.b., trunk, mast steps and engine beds. The auxiliary engine is by a GM 4-71 diesel or equal in the 110-150 hp range and a 7 kw generator provides electrical power. The seaworthy ketch rig spreads generous sail area for light airs yet she balances nicely under a wide variety of reduced sail combinations when it breezes up. The plans include details for wood spars along with all the necessary hardware.
TRAVELLER III is a true blue water voyager and, with her large saloon, roomy cockpit and spacious cabins, she can provide a safe and comfortable home afloat, whether tied alongside or hundreds of miles at sea.
Study plans contain sufficient drawings to price out materials or obtain a professional bid; the cost of study plans is credited if complete plans are later ordered. Complete plans include rights to build one boat, plus reasonable consultation during construction.
